Other Details: A prize medal prepared for the 1937 Sydney Show planned to celebrate the coronation of Edward VIII in May 1937. The coronation never took place as Edward abdicated in order to marry Mrs Wallis Simpson in December 1936. The medals were never distributed.
An unissued bronze prize medal (54 mm diameter) featuring a head of Edward VIII, bare facing right together with details of his name and date of birth. The reverse features a standard rural image with animals, fruits and grains a tractor and the rising sun together with a plaque on which a winners name would have been engraved.
