Ship's clock from the HMAS Wyatt Earp, used during the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition (ANARE), 1947-48. Made by the Chelsea Clock Co, Boston, USA.

In the summer of 1947-48 the Wyatt Earp was used to reconnoitre a site for a permanent scientific research station on the Antarctic continent. The small ship was prevented from landing on the continent by the weather and ice conditions, but undertook some scientific research, notably Dr Phillip Law's cosmic ray research.
