Physical Description

Possibly a handmade machine, of metal and wood, to break up the soil before planting was done. Two metal bands are wrapped aroung two round wooden blocks, which rotate as the machine is pushed or pulled along. There are fourteen flat, curved metal blades which protrude from the metal bands, tearing the soil as the machine moves along. There is a long curved wooden shaft with a wooden cross- bar handle.
