Interview with Maria D'Astoli about her migration experience and life. Mrs D'Astoli was born on the Italian island of Malfa in 1914. She was married there in 1935. In 1950 Maria's husband and son left for Australia, Maria followed some months later with their other children. It was twenty years before she returned to Italy again. Maria continues to live in Melbourne with many members of her immediate family around her.

Oral history interview with Mrs Maria D'Astoli about migration to Australia from Italy after World War II. Maria migrated to Australia from Salina island, Italy in 1951, to join her husband and son who had arrived a year earlier. On arrival Maria worked in various factories around Melbourne and eventually settled with her family in Oakleigh.
