Physical Description

Black wax, hollow recording cylinder with fine grooves etched around the circumference and the name of the recording imprinted in white around the rim. The cylinder is housed in a cardboard tube, with cardboard lids at either end. An off-white paper label, printed in red, gold and black ink, is adhered to the outside, bearing the brand name, patent and copyright details, and a black and white, head and shoulders portrait of Edison. The name of the recording is handwritten in black ink on the lid.
