Silver denarius struck during the reign of the Emperor Domitian, Ancient Roman Empire, in 88 AD. Minted by Rome. Domitian was Consul for the 14th time (COS XIIII on this coin) in 88 AD. From November 85 AD he had become Censor Perpetuus (CENS P on this coin). This coin was part of the first issue of 88 AD as he had TR P VII and IMP XIIII when it was struck; later in the year he won IMP XV (second issue) and then entered his 8th year of Tribunitian Power, TR P VIII (third issue).
