Green paisley dress designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L circa 1986. The paisley range was designed by Prue Acton and Merrill Clarke around fabrics purchased in Germany. According to the donor, shoulder pads were a typical feature of women's clothes, such as this, in the 1980s, often associated with the 'Corporate Woman' look.

Physical Description

Long-sleeved mid-calf length dress consisting of panels from 'Paisley' range. Colours are predominantly green, navy and burgundy. Dress is straight and waistless and flared from the knees. Collarless neckline is fastened by 3 grey buttons and hook-and-eye at front. Long zip fastens back and cuffs secured by 2 fabric covered buttons. Dress has shoulder pads.
