Summary

Black and white photograph of H.V McKay's residence at Talmage Street (off Anderson Road and King Edward Avenue) in Sunshine. Originally built and owned by H.V McKay, he lived here until 1922 when he purchased the ‘Rupertswood' mansion and estate (built and owned by Sir William Clarke) in Sunbury. His Sunshine residence was then lived in by his son Cecil McKay. This property was later bought and converted to a funeral parlour, but burnt down in the 1960's.

Photograph is located in an album: Volume No.1: 'Views of Factories and Branches', page 153. This is one of 25 albums that provide detailed visual documentation of the activities of the McKay enterprise.
