Summary

Bottle of Bang's bacillus (living) vaccine. Made by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) Limited, Parkville, Victoria, c1960s. Used to immunise against brucella abortus, a bacterium that lives in cattle. Can cause abortions (by resulting in inflammation of the placenta) in mammals including humans.
