Metal Chute, which could be attached to a tomato paste maker, used by in the making of tomato paste by Vincenzo Candela and his wife Emanuela Nigro. It was either brought to Australia by Vincenzo and Emanuela or purchased here, when they migrated in 1920. The Candelas made much of their own food including homemade pasta, tomato sauce, wine, sausages and they roasted their own coffee.

Physical Description

Metal chute, rounded at one end with half circular cut-outs, then narrows forming a triangular chute. The edges have been rounded.
