Four crowned shields, bearing the arms of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, formed to make a cross with the Star of the Garter at the centre; in the angles, two interlinked Cs; around, MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX 1680, the date being divided by the crown above the English arms. Only the top half of the last two numerals of the date struck up.
