Obverse Description

The King, crowned, wearing armour and holding a sword and a shield quartered with the arms of England and France, standing facing on a ship at sea, annulet on rudder; around, HENRIC DI GRA ... HIB (the remainder of the legend is double struck and mostly off the flan)

Reverse Description

At the centre a compartment containing the letter h over a floriated cross with a lis at the end of each arm, in each angle of the cross, a lion passant guardant below a crown, a trefoil beside one crown; all set within a tressure of eight arches; around with some double striking and only partly on flan, + IHC AVTEM TRANSIENS PER MEDIVM ILLORV IBAT (translation: but Jesus passing through the midst of them went His way; from Luke iv, 30).
