Cycling Award for Hubert Opperman, 1922 - Barnet Glass Road Race. Launceston to Hobart. This race yielded the highest prize money in all of Tasmania (£10), so attracted a number of high-profile, international cyclists.

Amongst them were Opperman, T. O'Farrell, C.V. Buck, W. Ronnie, R. Johnson, W. Rose and F. Osbourne. The race was also postponed from September 23, rescheduled to November 4th.

Hubert Opperman won the race with a total time of 6 hours, 4 minutes and 43 seconds. It was one of many, many victories to come.
