Conditions were quite wet and miserable during this race, with continuous rain causing many issues for riders. Veteran rider J.J. Beasley punctured a tyre twice in 30 miles and finished tenth.
Other competitors included M.W. Merkel, W. Buck, J.B. Kemp and more. Conditions were 'messy' due to rainfall the day before the race. Route included Marrabel, Waterloo, Auburn, Rhynie, Tarlee, Templera and Gawler.
Oppy was cited by a N.S.W paper as the "Little Machine" due to a very solid performance.
