Intermediate frequency transformer, double tuned type with air core. Used in radio receivers. Made by Stromberg Carlson. Used for 455 kc/s frequency. In operation until 1939.

Transformer would normally be contained in an aluminium can with the ceramic disk uppermost and the adjusting screws accessible through a pair of holes in the top of the can.

Physical Description

Ceramic disk with coil and base mounted on it. Coil has a cardboard former with two windings.Two mica compression trimmers with adjusting screws are mounted on the ceramic disk.
