Model made by A.E. Smith, a former Chief Mechanical Engineer with the Victorian Railways.
Design based on an engine once used to supply hydraulic power at the Williamstown "Patent" Slip.
Metal engineering model sitting on wooden base. Model includes large flywheel and beam. Approximately 1 1/6-inch bore x 2 1/6-inch stroke, with 8 straight-spoked flywheel, 7-inch diameter with 1/2-inch wide x 2/5-inch rim and symmetrical 8-inch beam, 4-inch centreline to centreline either side of main pivot.
