Letter of request from the Major of C.C, Australian Imperial Force (AIF) Canteens, A.I.F Headquarters, 4/8 Regency Street, London, S.W.1. to the Director of Movement and Quatering Branch 2D2, Department of Repatriation and Demobilisation, AIF.

The letter declares that Canteen Sergeant D. N. McNee is proceeding to 'R.A. Docks' to receive canteen stores and join the transport Port Lincoln, and requests that authority for embarkation and railway warrant be granted to him.

Duncan Normal McNee enlisted at Queenscliff, Victoria, on 1 September 1916, aged 21, service number 819. He described his profession as 'soldier'. He served with the 36th Heavy Artillery Brigade, and proceeded to France in March 1917. After the War he was attached to Headquarters in London. He left for Australia on the Port Lincoln, which departed 24 July 1919.
