Brown leather case with lift-out section containing spare parts for a German MG (Maschinengewehr) 08 machine gun. This machine gun was standard issue for the German Army in World War I. It is likely to have been World War I trophy, as was another spare parts bag acquired at the same time (ST 015404).

The spare parts case was acquired by Museum Victoria in 1924 from the Australian War Memorial - State War Torphy Committee.

Brown leather case with leather lift-out insert containing tools and spare parts. Webbing carrying strap. Contents: two pairs of tongs, two spanners (one with hammer head), oil container, tin parts and cord on handle.
