Black and white photograph of Australian servicemen at a farewell parade, West Wyalong, New South Wales, in April, 1916.

Part of a collection of material relating to the World War I service of brothers John and Albert Victor Peile. The postcard is signed by 'Tom' and addressed to 'Vi.' 'Vi' is probably Violet May Peile, the sister of John and Albert Peile, who married Thomas Smith in 1903. The photograph depicts a hairdresser's shop with the name 'Tom Smith' below. It is unclear whether Thomas Smith joined the A.I.F. but it seems likely that he is the 'Tom' who sent the postcard.
