Horse brass: Commemorative, Mayflower in full sail. Crescent border with crenate edge. Marked "16 mayflower 20" at bottom. Type: cast brass. Date: 1920.
This horse brass was probably created to commemorate the tercentenary of the 1620 voyage.

Item has the remains of one stud on back, possibly from the casting process.

With the move away from horse power to engines, cast horse brass were no longer produced after the 1930s.
