Horse brass: Sun disc with central hemisphere surrounded by 17 circular perforations and a raised border. Crenate edge. Type: stamped from brass plate. Date: 1880-1939.

Stamped brass were pressed out from rolled steel. This was a manual process from 1880-1900, and then machine stamping between 1900-1930s. With the introduction of petrol engines/vehicles, the production of horse brass ceased in the 1930s.
