This badge was made circa 1969 - 1971 and used in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was made for the Vietnam Moratorium campaign that involved demonstrations and protests all over Australia. 'Stop work to stop the war' was one of the official slogans of the campaign and it was printed on posters as well. It refers to the disruptive nature of the campaign, hoping to pressure the decision-makers and bring about change through civil disobedience. This object was acquired during development of peace exhibition, curated by Ron Vanderwal during the International Year of Peace, 1986.
