Alternative Name(s): Button

Round badge with the slogan 'No More Hiroshima's'. It is one of a series of badges collected by Andrew Reeves over a fifteen year period during which he undertook much research in the field of Trade Union material culture, and had extensive contact with the Trade Union movement Australia wide. 'No More Hiroshimas' was a popular slogan of the pacifist movement following the events of 1945. The initiative to have the 6th of August as a day to commemorate the events came from Hiroshima, but by 1949 it was adopted worldwide. This badge might have been independently made, since the slogan is misspelt.
