Over-sized black leather woman's shoe, made for the Centenary All-Australian Exhibition held at the (Royal) Exhibition Building in 1934. The shoe was commissioned by Charles Bulley, a leather merchant based the city, to represent the shoe manufacturing and repairing industry in Victoria.

Charles Bulley was associated with F. Bulley & Co., leather merchants (and donors of the shoe). From at least 1935 F. Bulley & Co. was located at 380 Elizabeth St, Melbourne city. In 1938 the company also advertised (for staff) from 2nd floor, 56 A'Beckett St. In 1954 it was still located at 380 Elizabeth St, and in 1989 was still listed at 56 A'Beckett St.
