Friendly societies often provided financial, sickness, unemployment and funeral benefits to their members who usually paid a contribution based on their gender and age.
Three white ceramic balls, the surfaces are not smooth all over, and none is perfectly spherical. Each has areas that are rough from manufacture and some discolouration from use.
