Used at Mayday Hills Hospital, a mental health hospital in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. Part of the duties of attendants at psychiatric institutions was to clean and groom patients. Attendants often cut patients' hair.

Physical Description

Small pair of white metal clippers consisting of two plates each containing a row of small pointed blades which are activated when handles are brought to- gether in a scissor action. Thumb and finger rests protrude from handle.
