White embroidered towel, made circa 1915-1917, as part of a trousseau embroidered for Domenica Sammut of Valetta, Malta.The trousseau was embroidered either by herself or by the Nuns. Domenica married Joseph Nicholas Bajada, of Gozo. This item was brought to Australia by her daughter in 1971.

Physical Description

White towel with a fringe of white, thin pink stripes (two) on each end. At one end the name Domenica with a simple plant design before and after the name, has been embroidered in crimson cotton using a cross stitch.
