Pair of white stockings. The donor explained that they were sometimes worn as part of a Voluntary Aid Detachment uniform. They were identified as World War I-era, although she was a VAD during World War II.
Pair of white lisle stockings with reinforced toes, heels and tops. Stockings have a seam at the back which runs the length of the stocking, from the heel. Stocking .1 has a mend in the calf area.
