Physical Description

Dark brown glass medicine jar with paper label on side for Duerdin & Sainsbury - Hamamelidis unguent. Jar has broad, round base, slightly concave, straight sides and slightly recessed rim. Flat top fits over it so shallow sides of top are even with sides of jar. Has blue paper sealing strip (split) around join with lid. 1'3 full of very hard, dark brown ointment. Hamamelidis ungunt (ointment) is made from dried witch-hazel leaves.
