Mini dress designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1967.

It features a high waist, Peter Pan lace collar and cuffs, silver decorative buttons and a short hemline, in a style known as Baby Doll. Originally worn with a wide black patent leather belt.

The dress was worn often by Prue Acton, and was featured in numerous photographs and newspaper articles, both in Australia and overseas, including London and New York.

It was also worn by a model under a Prue Acton burgundy coat for her 25th Anniversary Parade in 1988.

In 2016, it was loaned to the NGV for their exhibition `200 Years of Australia Fashion'.
