Mini dress designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1963, as part of her first collection.

It was made using a fabric design that Prue had created during her studies at RMIT.

Although Prue found fame as a fashion designer, her first love was textile design. This pattern, featuring bold psychedelic shapes, is an early example of the design styles that would come to represent the 1960s.

Physical Description

Long sleeveless white cotton dress printed with orange and yellow floral patterns. The skirt is split at side seams. A zip fastens at the centre back.
