Summary

'Facett' 2c FP1 Lid (facetted lid) hearing device charger manufactured by Blamey Saunders in Melbourne and launched in 2018.

This was the second facetted approach that trialled a smaller surface area than the FS1. The lid was prototyped as a folded paper surface prior to 3D modelling. The interior trials an arrangement of modules where 2 pairs of modules are located on the X-axis while 4 rows are in the Y-axis. The hollow at the top of the form houses the DSP module.

The 'Facett' hearing devices were designed by Melbourne designer Leah Heiss who was inspired by the beauty of Museum Victoria's geology collection. Launched in 2018, they were carefully designed to be a hearing device that looks good and that users want to wear. Issues addressing stigma, useability, access and cost make this collection even more unique in the hearing device industry at this time.
