Desk sign belonging to Ron Williamson while he was working at Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd, circa 1980s. Ron performed the role of Australian Kodakery correspondent on top of his usual job.
The 'Australian Kodakery' was the Kodak staff newsletter. The Kodakery was published to communicate company news and product releases. The series runs from Issue No 1, July 1968 to No 171, June 1985. Normally published monthly, with some exceptions, it was succeeded by 'Kodak News', which continued numbering with no 172, July 1985.
This desk sign was donated by the wife of a former Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd staff member, Ron Williamson, who worked at Kodak for many years. Ron maintained a small collection of Kodak products and souvenirs after he retired from Kodak, which he displayed in his home, highlighting his loyalty and attachment to the company.
Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
Small horizontal three sided wooden desk sign with black paper sign with pale yellow printed text adhered to one face.
