Colour photograph of Kodak Australasia employee Dr Nellie Fisher receiving her retirement present from Joe Page and Stewart Middleton at her retirement dinner.
Dr Fisher, an industrial chemist who had worked at Kodak Limited in Harrow, Britain, immigrated to Australia to work at Kodak Australasia as Manager of the Sensitizing Laboratory (Emulsion Laboratory), where she was employed from 1939 until 1962. She was a significant contributor to Kodak Australasia's manufacturing success.
This image complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
