This is one of 6 cellulose negatives contained within a box. 11 negatives in total (5 glass plates and 6 cellulose acetate negatives in glassine bags). Negatives all feature exterior views of the Abbotsford factory, and the box they came in was marked 'Mr Collins: Factory'.
This image is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

The river bank has several trees along it, and a small concrete tank is visible on the left side. The fence line around the factory site is planted with a line of trees and beyond that is the factory complex with several multistorey brick buildings, chimney stacks, tanks and storage buildings. The factory garden with seating is visible on the right hand side.
