A gold-coloured, metal Kodaslide Compartment File box with hinged red plastic compartments. It was manufactured by the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd Cameras, Reels and Sundries Department and used by former Kodak employee,Yvonne Cameron. Yvonne not only worked in the canteen and staff shop at Coburg from 1964 to 1975, she was an active member of the Kodak Camera Club. This slide box was used to house her personal 35mm photographic slide collection.

This object was donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Rectangular, metal box, coloured gold with hinged lid opening to reveal 12 red plastic compartments that fold outwards to allow for easy access to slides. There is a metal divider running down the centre of the tray and a printed black and white file index glued to the underside lid.
