Copy of a medal depicting King Christian I of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The original medal by Bartolomeo Melioli was produced during the King's journey through Italy in 1474. This uniface electrotype copy was made circa 1881 at British Museum by Robert Ready. This electrotype was not part of the British Museum's King's Gallery Exhibition of 1881. It's acquisition by the National Gallery of Victoria and thus Museum Victoria is yet to be traced. This electrotype in copper plated and toned.
