Copy of a medal of Leonello d'Este, Marquess of Ferrara. The original medal, by Pisanello , was made in about 1445. This Electrotype copy in two halves made circa 1881 by Robert Ready. Although made by Ready at the British Museum, this is not based on the example of this medal in their collection (Reg:1923,0526.1)
