This belt is made from Flagellerria sp. and the name baku refers both to the vine and to the belt. It has been made using an interlaced stitch, a technique more commonly used in the making of armbands.

An interlaced belt made of split 'jungle vine' (Flagellaria sp.) painted with natural pigments. It has vertical lines of red, yellow, black, white and pink overpainted with dots.
