Summary

A silver metal and coloured enamel 'gold' level entrance pass to the 2012 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, held at the Royal Exhibition Buildings and the Carlton Gardens between 28 March-1 April 2012. The pass was issued to a senior Museums Victoria staff member and admits the bearer to the Show at any time during the five days of the event, within the Show's opening hours of 9.00am - 5.00pm daily.

At the conclusion of the Show, the pass was collected by Museum Victoria curatorial staff to add to the extensive collections relating to the Royal Exhibition Building, which document the various trade shows and exhibitions that have been, and continue to be held there.

Physical Description

A satin-brushed silver pass with orange enamel inlay in the form of a chrysanthemum with a representation of the earth at its centre in blue and khaki enamel, depicting Australia and south east Asia. A short chain is attached through a hole at the top edge of the pass to a key-ring. On the reverse, the pass caries an inscription identifying the bearer to free admintance to the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2012.
