Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Large paper rectangular scrapbook with 95 pages plus front and back cover containing newspaper and magazine advertisements. Scrapbook is unfinished with a number of pages left blank at the end. Cover is cream paper as are the pages inside, bound with cardboard and 6 staples. The clippings are mostly printed on cream coloured newspaper quality paper, in black and white but occasionally in colour. Often there are multiple copies of the same advertisement, all are adhered with glue and are still quite firmly attached. Many of the clippings have the journal/newspaper source and date typed onto them. The scrapbook pages have been numbered by hand with blue ink, along with the source of the clippings at the top of the page. A hand written index is located on the inside front cover.
