Summary

This tighly coiled handbag by Esther Manakgu has been made by stitching two identical round sides to a coiled oval section. Two long coiled handles eminate on either side. The complexity of the design is increased by the artist incorporating a braid into the centre of the sides.

Esther Manakgu has strong ties with Goulburn Island, where her mother and family came from, and her fibre techniques relfect this.
