This bag by Irene Nayinggul has been looped and uses many different colours of dyed and undyed pandanus to create horizontal bands. It has a single, plaited handle attached on opposite sides.

Born in 1946, Irene Nayinggul is married to Jacob Nayinggul, the traditional owner for Mikinj Valley. Irene's preferred technique is open coiling, which she uses to make pandanus handbags.
