Summary

A saucepan basket, coiled, with horizontal bands of dyed and undyed pandanus. Saucepan baskets also have two side handles or arms, predominately made by one coil that peels away from the main structure and then rejoins the other coils. The saucepan basket is not only about technical perfection of forms but about an eloquent sense of colour. The stiches are placed tight and close together, which intensifies the colour saturation.
