This striking basket by Antina Nabegeyo has coiled with a counter-change pattern of dyed and undyed pandanus to form a patchwork of blocks of colour. Colour blocking is an expanded style of chopping colour and occurs when artists use larger groups of stiches to form 'milekimuk dja djobdjobmeng', or blocks.

Antina Nabegeyo works mainly at Gunbalunya, making pandanus hand-bag baskets as a preferred form.
