Yellow ribbons which were used as a symbol of hope and support by Victorians to honour those who perished or were injured during and after the fires of Black Saturday 2009. These ribbons were produced for the first anniversary of Black Saturday and were supplied free of charge from Spotlight stores between January 19 and February 8 2010.

1 flat yellow ribbons with 1 separate brass safety pin contained in a small plastic zip lock bag.


The wearing of ribbons is an emblem of individual support for many causes within Australia. When Spotlight distributed these ribbons free of charge they were giving members of the public the chance to express sympathy and solidarity for communities in the bushfire-affected zones.
