This is one of 959 photographs (or images) of the Exhibition Building collated by the Exhibition Trustees as a 10 volume pictorial history of the Exhibition Building spanning the years 1880 to 1985. The pictorial history was instigated by the centenary of the Exhibition Building in 1980 and forms part of a larger Royal Exhibition Building collection of documents, photographs, objects and research files.

Colour photograph of the Northern Territory's government delegation standing near the entrance to the government exhibit at the Melbourne International Centenary Exhibition held at the Royal Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne, between 23 September and 5 October 1980. Most delegates wear either cream pants and orange jackets, or matching ochre jacket and skirts for women. One woman wears an ochre skirt and black off-the-shoulder top with the Northern Territory's floral emblem, the Sturt desert rose, printed on the hip.
