Containers are made from a single sheet of bark that is folded and at times strengthened by binding or stitching. In this instance the ends have been secured by pleating the ends and piercing them with a pointed stick to hold its form. These were either made quickly on the spot for a single use and then discarded, or might be kept and reused over time like this one that appears quite robust.

Physical Description

A single sheet of bark (Eucalyptus tetrodonta) folded and pleated at either end. A single pointed stick is skewered through the pleated ends.
