Summary

Paint brush made of human hair used by legendary Djapu clan leader, Wonggu Munungurr, when painting on bark for anthropologist Donald Thomson. The Yolngu term for this brush, marawat also means human hair. These types of paint brushes made from simple sticks frayed at one end, with feathers or with strands of human hair, were used by Yolngu artists to make fine lines.
