Partly within an inner circle of beads, a crowned spade-shaped shield quartered with arms of England (1 and 4); Scotland (2) and Ireland (3) surrounded by the Collar of the Garter; around above, FID. DEF. IND. IMP.; around below, HALF 1901 CROWN, the date divided by the figure of St George and dragon on the base of the Collar.
